Shanghai Jetta Semiconductor engineer arrested in Italy

Xu Zewei, an IT engineer at Shanghai Jetta Semiconductor Co., Ltd., and his wife were arrested by local police at Milan Malpensa Airport in Italy. The arrest was carried out at the request of the United States, which has made multiple charges against Xu Zewei, including participating in a hacker organization and stealing COVID-19 vaccine research data. Xu Zewei's attorney said that the client and his family went to Italy only for private travel and were shocked by the US accusations and did not agree with them at all.
