Pony.ai recently announced that the BAIC Alpha T5 Robotaxi, equipped with its seventh-generation autonomous driving system, has started road testing in Shenzhen. Previously, GAC Aion's Tyrannosaurus Robotaxi had obtained intelligent connected car road test licenses in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Pony.ai's seventh-generation Robotaxi has entered mass production of several models, which is an important step towards its goal of expanding its fleet to 1,000 vehicles by the end of 2025. The system has achieved three core breakthroughs: the world's first use of 100% automotive-grade components, a 70% reduction in total system cost compared to the previous generation, and a platform design that can be quickly adapted to a variety of models.
