Panasonic's three major production bases in the United States

Panasonic had planned three major production bases in the United States. The first factory was the battery super factory Gigafactory 1, a joint venture with Tesla, located in Nevada. The third base was originally planned to be located in Oklahoma, but due to the scattered investment in charging infrastructure in the United States and the lower-than-expected consumer acceptance of electric vehicles, Panasonic announced that the plan would be temporarily shelved.
