Nissan and Honda restart a new chapter in cooperation

After the merger talks between Nissan and Honda broke down five months ago, they decided to restart their cooperation with a pragmatic attitude. The cooperation plan will be implemented in stages: the first models launched in 2026 will use their respective software base systems, and subsequent products will be based on a jointly developed software platform. In addition, Nissan may produce pickup trucks for Honda at its Canton plant in Mississippi, USA.
