Canada auto sales up 4.3% in first half of the year

In the first half of 2025, new car sales in Canada reached 958,214 units, up 4.3% from the same period last year, with sales in the second quarter up 6.4% year-on-year. This growth was mainly due to the rush to buy cars before the implementation of tariffs and cash incentives offered by automakers.
