Feng Xingya, chairman of GAC Group, said that due to insufficient understanding of consumers' range anxiety, the company had misjudged extended-range and plug-in technologies as a transitional route. Now, with the imperfection of charging facilities, GAC has realized that extended-range and plug-in models will coexist with pure electric products for a long time. Therefore, GAC plans to launch a number of extended-range and plug-in models starting this year, and the first Haobo HL extended-range version will be launched next month.
