BYD adjusts European production plan, Hungarian factory postponed to 2026

According to people familiar with the matter, BYD plans to postpone the mass production of its new electric vehicle factory in Hungary to 2026, and the capacity utilization rate in the first two years will be lower than expected. At the same time, BYD plans to start production at its new factory in Turkey ahead of schedule, where labor costs are lower and the final output is expected to far exceed the previously announced plan.
