Bosch adjusts its Reutlingen production base and plans to lay off 1,100 employees

German automotive parts maker Bosch plans to make major changes to its production site in Reutlingen, with up to 1,100 jobs expected to be cut by 2029. The move is due to a sharp deterioration in market conditions in the automotive industry, which has led to a continued decline in product sales. Bosch will shift the focus of the plant from manufacturing electronic control units to semiconductor manufacturing.
