Mercedes-Benz recently announced that its modified EQS prototype, equipped with sulfide solid-state batteries, has completed road testing in the UK, with a range exceeding 1,000 kilometers. This solid-state battery uses sulfide-based electrolytes and has an energy density of up to 450Wh/kg, which is 80% higher than traditional lithium batteries. In actual testing, the prototype's WLTP range increased from 822 kilometers to about 1,000 kilometers, an increase of 25%, and safety was greatly improved.
