Russia's new vehicle type approval regulations have attracted industry attention

Recently, the Russian National Standards Agency (Russian Standards Agency) and the Economic Committee of the Eurasian Economic Union held a meeting regarding future OTTC (Russian Vehicle Type Approval) applications, proposing new requirements. The meeting emphasized that laboratories must conduct testing in the country of registration and not outside the country of registration. The new regulations could lead to short-term export obstacles for Chinese automakers, extend certification cycles, and increase cost pressures.
