Mercedes-Benz's profit drops sharply in the first half of 2025

In the first half of 2025, Mercedes-Benz Group's sales revenue was €66.377 billion, down 8.6% year-on-year; net profit before tax was €4.534 billion, down 40.7% year-on-year; and net profit after tax was only €2.688 billion, down 55.8% year-on-year. In terms of sales volume, Mercedes-Benz Group's global vehicle sales in the first half of the year were 1.0763 million units, down 8% year-on-year, and sales of pure electric vehicles were 87,300 units, down 14% year-on-year.
