Cainiao driverless car company advances independent financing

According to sources familiar with the matter, Cainiao's autonomous vehicle business is pursuing independent financing, with an expected post-money valuation exceeding 1 billion RMB. Since 2025, Cainiao's autonomous vehicle business has been rapidly expanding into the market. In January of this year, Cainiao launched the GT-pro, a high-end vehicle with a range of nearly 200 kilometers, suitable for medium- and long-distance deliveries from suburban warehouses to urban areas. On June 18th, the company also unveiled the GT-Lite, a new autonomous vehicle designed for short-distance delivery to express delivery outlets. Priced at just 16,800 RMB, this sparked a price war in the relatively undeveloped autonomous vehicle market.
