In recent years, Chinese automakers have made significant inroads into the Russian market, reaching a market share exceeding 50%. However, the Russian National Standards Agency recently revoked the vehicle type approvals for some Chinese trucks and chassis, including those from Dongfeng, Foton, FAW, and Shandeka. These models were banned from sale due to non-compliance with standards for braking system efficiency and noise levels. While passenger cars remain unaffected, the future of Chinese automakers in Russia remains challenging.
