Russia's largest automaker, Avtovaz, is considering shortening the workweek from five to four days to combat high interest rates and competition from Chinese automakers. Avtovaz said the new workweek would take effect in late September if it decides to proceed. Avtovaz's sales fell 25% in the first half of this year to 155,481 vehicles.
