Volkswagen Group's battery subsidiary PowerCo signs high-value construction contract

PowerCo, the battery subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, has signed two high-value construction contracts for its $7 billion battery cell manufacturing plant in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada. The plant is expected to open in 2027 and will initially create 1,000 jobs, eventually increasing to 3,000.
