Uber invests in Lucid to build a self-driving ride-hailing fleet

Lucid Motors, a US-based new energy vehicle manufacturer, announced a $300 million investment from Uber. The two companies will collaborate on the development and production of a fleet of self-driving taxis designed specifically for the Uber platform. These self-driving taxis will be built on Lucid's electric vehicle technology platform and integrated with Nuro's Level 4 autonomous driving system.
