Analysis of Brazilian car market sales in August 2025

By August 2025, Brazilian auto sales reached 215,000 units, a 3.6% decrease from the same period last year. However, cumulative sales for the year have reached 1.576 million units, a year-on-year increase of 3.4%. While Fiat still holds the top spot, its market share is gradually being eroded by brands like Volkswagen and Hyundai. Meanwhile, Chinese automakers such as BYD, Great Wall, and Chery are making a name for themselves in the Brazilian market with their new energy vehicles and SUVs.
