On September 5th, Qualcomm announced the joint development and launch of a new autonomous driving system with BMW. Based on the Snapdragon Ride chip and a jointly developed software stack, the system supports everything from basic safety features to Level 2+ highway and urban driving assistance. Its 360-degree perception system, combined with V2X communication technology, can identify hidden risks and boasts 20 times the computing power of previous generations.
