Stellantis calls for a focus on supporting small electric vehicles

Jean-Philippe Amparato, President of Stellantis Group Europe, stated that, given that small cars (B-segment) are a core category in the European auto market, the policy focus should shift from "promoting the electric vehicle market in an all-round way" to "focusing on supporting small electric vehicles." He suggested that automakers should receive "extra compliance credits" for selling small electric vehicles, as these types of vehicles are crucial to supporting the entire European auto industry chain.
