Mercedes-Benz EQS solid-state battery test successful, range exceeds 1,200 kilometers

A Mercedes-Benz EQS equipped with a solid-state battery prototype recently traveled 749 miles (1,205 kilometers) without recharging, with 85 miles (137 kilometers) remaining. The battery, supplied by Factorial Energy and developed in collaboration with the Mercedes-Benz F1 Technical Center, achieves a 73.38% increase in range compared to the lithium-ion battery-powered EQS. Mercedes-Benz Chief Technology Officer Markus Schäfer stated that solid-state battery technology brings electric vehicles to a whole new level.
