Jaguar Land Rover suffers cyberattack, halting production

British automaker Jaguar Land Rover recently suffered a major cyberattack, forcing the suspension of production at three of its UK plants and some of its overseas production bases. The incident has resulted in the temporary furlough of approximately 33,000 employees and has left numerous suppliers facing supply chain disruptions or system failures. With daily production exceeding 1,000 vehicles, Jaguar Land Rover is estimated to have lost £72 million in sales and approximately £120 million in profits. If the shutdown continues until November, total revenue losses could reach £3.5 billion, with profits estimated at around £250 million, and approximately 50,000 vehicles unable to be produced.
