Panasonic develops new battery

According to overseas media reports, Panasonic is developing a new high-capacity electric vehicle battery that could extend the range of the Tesla Model Y by 90 miles (approximately 145 kilometers). Panasonic stated that it is developing an anode-free battery design and expects to achieve "world-leading" battery capacity by the end of 2027. This new technology eliminates the anode structure during battery manufacturing, freeing up space for more active cathode materials such as nickel, cobalt, and aluminum. This is expected to increase battery capacity by 25% without increasing battery size.
