Türkiye adjusts import tariff policy for automobiles

The Turkish government announced additional tariffs on some imported cars. Conventional fuel vehicles and hybrid vehicles will face an additional tariff of 25%, or at least $6,000; plug-in hybrid vehicles will face an additional tariff of 30%, or at least $7,000; and electric vehicles will face an additional tariff of 30%, or at least $8,000. However, cars imported from the EU or other countries with which Turkey has free trade agreements, as well as imported goods exempt from investment incentives, will not be affected.
