French Automobile Market Sales Analysis Report, September 2025

In September 2025, overall French auto sales increased by 1% year-on-year to 140,400 units. However, the underlying trend toward electrification is the real focus. Hybrid vehicles maintained a stable market share of 44.2%, while pure electric vehicles reached a record high of 22.3%. In contrast, traditional fuel vehicles, particularly gasoline and diesel models, saw their market share fall below 25%, posing an increasingly difficult situation.
