Ideal Auto's supply chain management can be broadly divided into four tiers, each employing different collaboration models: in-house research and development to control the core experience; in-house research and development to lock in key technologies, but not in-house; deep collaboration to define cutting-edge technologies; and strategic collaboration to optimize product definition. The battery business falls within Ideal Auto's "in-house research and development" model.
