MediaTek plans to produce chips in India

MediaTek announced that it will produce its chips in India once its local semiconductor wafer manufacturing facility begins operations. This move will shorten the supply chain, reduce costs, and enhance supply chain resilience. MediaTek's customers include major global smartphone manufacturers such as Xiaomi, Samsung, Oppo, and Vivo.
