Samsung Electronics wins Hyundai Motor's 8nm smart driving chip order

Samsung Electronics' wafer foundry division has won an order from Hyundai Motor for an 8nm smart driving chip, with development expected to be completed in 2028 and mass production to begin in 2030. Hyundai Motor also plans to develop a high-performance smart driving chip, and Samsung Electronics is expected to secure the wafer foundry order for this chip.
