In the first half of 2025, the global automotive industry's profitability deteriorated. German automakers' profit margins fell by over 30% year-on-year, while European brands' overall net profit attributable to parent companies plummeted by nearly 70%. Japanese and American automakers also saw declines of 40%-50%. Meanwhile, China's auto industry profit margin remained at a mere 4.8%. While this represents a slight improvement from last year's 4.3%, it remains plagued by rising revenues but not profits.
