China's largest behind-the-meter energy storage project enters final stages

Construction is underway on the 107.12MW/428.48MWh user-side lithium-ion battery energy storage project at Zhongfu and Linfeng in Guangyuan, Sichuan, with completion expected on November 30th. Jointly developed by Penghui Energy and Zhongfu Aluminum, the project is located within the Zhongfu Aluminum plant and has direct access to the 10kV distribution system, minimizing line losses. The project utilizes a "valley-charging, peak-discharging" model, with a maximum power output of 107MW and a maximum capacity of 428.48MWh. A single full charge and discharge cycle can last up to four hours.
