Mercedes-Benz recently announced its largest-ever layoff plan, with approximately 4,000 employees already accepting severance packages. Compensation amounts are designed on a graduated scale, directly linked to job level and length of service, with an "acceleration bonus" designed to incentivize early decision-making. The transformation plan, which began in April of this year, is open to approximately 40,000 employees.
