Innovative tactile sensors improve automotive comfort and safety

Automakers are constantly seeking new technologies to enhance vehicle comfort and safety. Recently, a research team at Yonsei University developed a flexible, highly sensitive tactile sensor based on a 3D porous framework. This sensor, which utilizes gold nanoparticle-modified carbon nanotubes, can effectively monitor the driver's physiological signals and environmental changes around the vehicle, thereby improving both comfort and safety.
