Toyota and BYD cooperate to develop new energy vehicles

Toyota Motor Corporation and Chinese battery manufacturer BYD have reached a cooperation agreement to jointly develop new energy vehicles. Under the agreement, Toyota will provide vehicle manufacturing technology and brand influence, while BYD will supply battery technology and electric powertrains.
