Volvo adjusts its global layout and expands local production in the United States

In an interview, Volvo Cars CEO Hakan Samuelsson said the company has revealed that it will expand local production in the United States and plans to start production of the XC60 mid-size SUV at its South Carolina plant from the end of 2026. Currently, the plant mainly produces the pure electric EX90 and Polestar 3 models, but the current production capacity is far from the designed scale of 150,000 vehicles per year.
