China's auto recall situation draws attention

At the 2025 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference, Wang Nailu, Deputy Director of the Defective Product Recall Technical Center of the State Administration for Market Regulation, revealed that China has implemented 3,230 vehicle recalls, involving 120 million vehicles. However, less than half of these recalls were initiated by companies themselves, with the remainder being the result of SAMR investigations. Furthermore, the number of recalls due to issues with assisted driving systems has been increasing year by year.
