On October 28th, Chuneng New Energy's Xiangyang 70GWh lithium battery project commenced construction in Xiangyang City, with a total investment of 22 billion yuan. The project, covering 1,608 mu (approximately 1,608 acres), focuses on energy storage and power, and plans to build a complete industrial chain. The project will utilize automation, digitalization, and intelligentization as its core standards, with an overall automation rate exceeding 98%, and is expected to create over 5,000 jobs.
