Nissan and Daimler's joint venture plant in Mexico will be closed.

Nissan and Daimler signed an agreement to jointly invest $1 billion in the COMPAS joint venture plant in central Mexico. However, due to market changes, the two companies decided to close the plant. Production of the Infiniti QX50 and QX55 ceased this month, while Mercedes-Benz GLB production will continue until May 2026. This move is part of Nissan's large-scale streamlining plan.
