Volkswagen Group launches self-developed system-on-a-chip in the Chinese market

Volkswagen Group has launched its self-developed system-on-a-chip (SoC) in the Chinese market, with mass production and delivery expected within the next three to five years. This chip will be used in Volkswagen Group models in China equipped with Level 3 and above autonomous driving capabilities, strengthening the company's local R&D capabilities across the entire intelligent driving stack. Jürgen Obomü, Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Group, stated that the Chinese market plays a crucial role in the Group's innovation process.
