Volkswagen partners with Horizon Robotics to develop autonomous driving chip

Volkswagen Group (China) announced that it will independently design and develop system-on-a-chip (SoC) in China. The chip will be developed by CARIZON, a joint venture between Volkswagen's software company CARIAD and Chinese intelligent driving technology company Horizon Robotics. Mass production and delivery are expected within the next three to five years, with each chip possessing a computing power of 500 to 700 TOPS.
