A debate is raging in Europe over the use of the 6GHz band, with one side arguing for its allocation to cellular networks and the other wanting it reserved for Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi Alliance and the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance (DSA) have expressed concern that EU countries might ban Wi-Fi networks from using the 6GHz band. Mobile operators are also eyeing this band for 5G and 6G network services. The European Commission's Radio Spectrum Policy Group (RSPG) is exploring ways to share the 6GHz band between Wi-Fi and mobile networks.
