Volkswagen accelerates its layoff plan

Volkswagen is gradually achieving its goal of cutting 35,000 jobs by 2030, and has already signed agreements to lay off more than 25,000 employees. Most of the layoffs are being implemented through retirement provisions. Volkswagen brand CEO Thomas Schäfer stated that these measures have yielded significant results.
