Changan Automobile acquires Beijing Hyundai's Chongqing plant

Changan Automobile has taken over Beijing Hyundai's Chongqing plant and plans to convert it into a production line for DeepBlue Auto. The plant, once hailed as Beijing Hyundai's most advanced production base, ceased operations at the end of 2021. After several listings for sale, it was finally sold for 1.62 billion yuan at the end of 2023.
