Porsche recently filed a new patent in Germany for a technology that activates a "maximum speed mode" based on the driver's hand position on the steering wheel. The key feature of this new patent is monitoring the driver's hand position on the steering wheel, requiring both hands to be placed on the wheel in a standard 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock position.
