European Automotive Market Sales Analysis Report, October 2025

In October 2025, the total sales volume of the European automotive market (including the EU, Nordic countries, and the UK) reached 1.092 million units, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%. New energy vehicles performed exceptionally well, benefiting from the export support of Chinese batteries and electric vehicles. Pure electric vehicle sales reached 225,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 32.9%; plug-in hybrid electric vehicle sales reached 116,500 units, a year-on-year increase of 40.2%; and hybrid electric vehicle sales reached 373,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 7.5%. Meanwhile, sales of traditional gasoline vehicles continued to decline, with gasoline vehicle sales reaching 268,500 units, a year-on-year decrease of 14.9%, and diesel vehicle sales reaching 78,000 units, a year-on-year decrease of 22.2%.
