BYD recalls some Qin PLUS DM-i models due to battery issues.

BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd. and BYD Auto Co., Ltd. announced a recall of 88,981 Qin PLUS DM-i models. The recall is due to a consistency issue with the power battery packs during the production process, which may limit the power battery output. In extreme cases, the vehicle may be unable to operate in pure electric mode, posing a safety hazard. BYD will provide free over-the-air (OTA) updates to the vehicle's diagnostic software for the recalled vehicles.
