Marvell announces acquisition of photonics company Celestial AI

Semiconductor company Marvell announced it will acquire optical chip company Celestial AI for at least $3.25 billion in cash and stock. The acquisition price could rise to $5.5 billion if Celestial reaches revenue milestones. This acquisition will strengthen Marvell's technological leadership in AI and cloud customers and provide them with a more comprehensive connectivity platform.
