UK new car sales figures for November have been released, showing a slight overall market decline.

UK new car sales in November totaled 151,154 units, a 1.6% year-on-year decrease. In terms of powertrain, electric vehicle sales reached 39,965 units, a 3.6% year-on-year increase, but the growth rate has fallen to its lowest point in nearly two years; plug-in hybrids increased by 14.8% to 18,005 units; and hybrids saw a slight increase of 1.3%. Petrol car sales declined by 5.9%, and diesel sales continued their sharp decline, reaching only a 4.7% share.
