Wolfspeed recently announced that it has received a $698.6 million cash refund from the IRS, which will be used to expand its 8-inch silicon carbide manufacturing capacity. Previously, Wolfspeed received a $186.5 million refund in fiscal year 2025. This refund brings Wolfspeed's cash balance to approximately $1.5 billion, significantly enhancing the company's financial flexibility.
