Vietnamese automaker VinFast's expansion plans in the US market have suffered a major setback. Originally aiming to establish hundreds of dealerships in the US, its retail network has now shrunk to fewer than 24. Three dealerships have ceased operations in the past six months. Furthermore, VinFast's new car registrations in the US totaled only 1,413 units, a 57% year-on-year decrease, while the overall US electric vehicle market grew by 11% during the same period.
