Nvidia completes acquisition of Slurm developer SchedMD

On December 15th, AI chip giant NVIDIA announced the completion of its acquisition of SchedMD, the developer of Slurm. Slurm is an open-source workload management system for high-performance computing and artificial intelligence, helping enterprises strengthen the open-source software ecosystem and drive AI innovation for researchers, developers, and businesses. NVIDIA and SchedMD have reportedly collaborated for over a decade. NVIDIA will continue to invest in Slurm's development to ensure it maintains its leading position as an open-source scheduler in the HPC and AI fields.
