Meta Accelerates AI Competition, to Launch "Mango" Visual Model and "Avocado" Text Model in 2026

Meta Inc. is aggressively pursuing new projects in the field of artificial intelligence. According to internal sources, its Super Intelligence Lab, led by Alexander Wang, co-founder of ScaleAI, is developing a new generation of AI models. Currently, Meta is advancing two new projects: an image and video model codenamed "Mango" and an internal text model called "Avocado." These new models are planned for release in the first half of 2026.
